EVENT DESCRIPTION: Join us for a FREE interactive webinar entitled, NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) XXII. This interactive webinar will engage formal/informal educator participants and their students, scout members, Boys and Girls Club members, etc. (any grade level) as they interact with Trevor Graff, a NEEMO XXII Crew Member, from the world’s only underwater research facility, the Aquarius Reef Base. Aquarius is located off the Florida Keys, 60 feet below the ocean’s surface. Its surroundings provide a great analog environment for space exploration and NEEMO Expeditions. You won’t want to miss this unique and exciting opportunity to get a live view of this amazing research facility and learn what the NEEMO XXII Team has been up to as part of the NEEMO XXII Expedition as well as learn about NEEMO, STEM Career paths, and the integration of science, engineering and technology as part of preparations for future exploration!

NEEMO Expeditions are NASA analog missions that send groups of astronauts, engineers, and scientists to live and work in a challenging underwater environment. Analog missions help prepare for the exploration of other planetary surfaces by testing new technologies, robotic equipment, communications, habitats, and other aspects related to living and working in extreme environments. The speaker will engage participants by sharing the extreme environment where the NEEMO XXII Crew is living and working as they facilitate this NEEMO XXII Expedition!

The NASA NEEMO XXII webinar will include:
  • Overview of NEEMO and NEEMO XXII
  • Live connection with a NEEMO XXII Crew Member from the Aquarius Habitat, 60 feet below the ocean's surface
  • Q&A

If you can't participate live, feel free to register to receive an archived recording of the presentation. [Successful acquisition of archive recording is never guaranteed...but we will do our best!] (NOTE: All registered participants will receive a link to the archived recording.)

Once registration is open, please encourage others to register for this event! They won't want to miss it!
